Abstract:
Lakes are crucial carriers of water resources and also part of the ecosystem. Due to the increasing number of human activities, lakes are facing severe challenges such as water pollution and ecological degradation. The traditional monitoring methods in the past can no longer meet the requirements of dynamic, all-time and all-space monitoring. However, the application of remote sensing technology provides an effective solution for the monitoring of lake water resources and ecological environment. This article summarizes the application of remote sensing technology in lake water resource evaluation, shoreline monitoring, water ecological environment monitoring, etc. It mainly introduces the research results of estimating lake water level and volume by using remote sensing images, digital elevation models (DEM), and satellite height measurement technology. This article also analyzes the extensive application of remote sensing technology in the dynamic monitoring of lake shorelines and the evaluation of lake ecological health, as well as some new methods in the monitoring and evaluation of aquatic plants and algal blooms. This article explores the future development directions of remote sensing technology in the research of lake ecological protection, such as the integration of multi-temporal remote sensing data, unmanned aerial vehicle remote sensing technology, the deep integration of remote sensing and artificial intelligence, as well as the construction of a space-ground integrated lake monitoring system. With the continuous development of remote sensing technology, Its role in lake ecological protection and management will become increasingly prominent, and it can provide very strong technical support for water ecological restoration and intelligent water management.
