Abstract
In order to study the change trend of shallow groundwater level along the Changjiang River in Jingzhou City and its response to the change of precipitation and surface water level, Pearson correlation analysis and Mann-Kendall trend test method were used to analyze the monitoring data of five groundwater monitoring wells and five rain measurement stations in the study area from 2017 to end of 2024 and from 2018 to 2024.The results showed that the groundwater level in the study area had a non-significant downward trend.Rainfall was the most influencing factor for the change of shallow groundwater level along the Changjiang River in Jingzhou City, which had a strong control effect on the groundwater level in the monitoring area along the Changjiang River, and three kinds of hydraulic connection between the monitoring stations of groundwater level. The Changjiang River had no obvious effect on the groundwater level of monitoring wells along the Changjiang River, and the groundwater level changed slightly with the Changjiang River water level in the dry year (2019 and 2022), which were 0.16 m, -0.05 m respectively. The groundwater level changed greatly with the Changjiang River water level in the flood year(2020 and 2021), which were 1.03 m, 0.74 m respectively. The dynamic changes of water level in the five groundwater monitoring wells show the same trend, and there were three types of hydraulic connections among the monitoring stations, which was extremely strong, relatively good and extremely weak.
